Thing 12

At first this task seemed quite daunting. However, the program itself was quite easy to use. It didn't take nearly as long as I initially thought that it would. Once again, the hardest part was using flickr. I actually would use this in my teaching. The slide.com program would be good to utilize when I update my powerpoint lectures. I think I may try to use this again for my personal use, just to get more practice with it.

  1. I too was thinking of using personal pictures to practice with these programs. Sadly enough, when my aunt recently passed away, her granddaughter created a slide show to music that was played at the funeral. I can see this being used weddings, reunions, and funerals. Educationally, this stuff can be used for parent nights, 6th grade night, curriculum night. You could have slides from the previous year's students in class. With all of the Thinking Maps stuff, we could use this to create training for new teachers and examples for parents.

  2. Whether for personal or professional use, web-based slideshows are an incredible tool. I'd love to see what students would choose to do if given the choice between a power point and a web-based slidehow.
